Local schools prepare for solar eclipse on Monday, April 8: Schools in Tampa Bay are taking precautions ahead of the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. Hillsborough Schools will release students an hour early. Schools open are advised to keep students inside during the eclipse unless they use supervised glasses. (wfla.com)
New restaurants in Water Street Tampa now accepting reservations for e-mail subscribers: Alter Ego and Ash are now taking reservations in Water Street Tampa. The concepts are from Proper House Group, the team behind Rooster & the Till, Nebrasaka Mini Mart, and Dang Dude. Slutty Vegan pop-up happening Monday during solar eclipse: Slutty Vegan is hosting a food truck pop-up in Tampa’s Ybor City neighborhood on Monday, April 8 at 7th + Grove from noon to 6 p.m. The concept focuses on vegan burgers, vegan chicken sandwiches, fries, and more.
