KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot has opened in the Brandon off SR-60 not too far from the I-75 Brandon exit at1025 W Brandon Blvd. The all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and hot pot concept offers diners a wide-range of meats, seafood, veggies, and plenty of Korean food items to enjoy with your meal. Rep. Kathy Castor secures nearly $1 million for upgrades to South Tampa stormwater drainage systems: Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL) has secured $959,752 in federal funding to help improve the stormwater drainage system in South Tampa. Castor made the announcement of the federal funding with City of Tampa Jane Castor. Some water pipes in the area are nearly a century old and badly need upgrades as anyone who has driven through South Tampa in the rain can tell you. (wfla.com)
Powerful storms delay flights at TPA: Strong storms and windy conditions have delayed hundreds of flights today at Tampa International Airport (TPA) and canceled a couple dozen. Over half of the flights at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport were also delayed. Always check your flight status before heading to the airport. (wtsp.com)
Celebrate coffee and art in St. Petersburg on Friday: Ya La’ford, a renowned visual artist, is releasing her newest canister artwork created through a partnership with Kahwa Coffee and the St. Pete Art Alliance. Net proceeds from the sales of this cannister will benefit the St. Petersburg Arts Endowment at the Community Foundation Tampa Bay. The unveiling event will take place on Friday, Apr. 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Savant on Second, located at 634 2nd Ave. S, in St. Petersburg. (carloseats.com)
Annual PhilFest returns this weekend to Tampa: PhilFest is returning to Tampa this weekend at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center in Westchase/Oldsmar. The festival will run from Friday, Apr. 5 to Sunday, Apri. 7. Tickets start at $8. Make sure to bring cash and card.
