JW Marriott and Tampa Marriott Water Street launch summer experiences for travelers and locals: JW Marriott Tampa Water Street and Tampa Marriott Water Street have launched new bookable experiences featuring an all new way for guests and locals to create memories together and personalize their time on properties. Starting this weekend, the culinary and wellness teams of the hotels will curate unique experiences tailored to group preferences. (carloseats.com)
Pinellas County leaders approve beach improvement funding: Pinellas County has approved $4.4 million to help improve Pass-a-Grille beach. The beach is still awaiting approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Businesses will remain open when the project gets underway, but some parking and beach access will be temporarily impacted. Rays face Red Sox once more tonight: The Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-2 on Tuesday night. The two teams will faceoff again tonight at 6:50 p.m. The game is available to watch on Bally Sports and MLB.TV. The Red Sox are looking for a complete sweep of Tampa Bay. (wruf.com)
Midtown East Tower topped off at 18 stories: The Midtown East Tower is coming to Tampa and will rise 18 stories in the sky. The building have 360-degree views of Tampa, office spaces, restaurants and retail. Corporate offices for Tampa Electric and People Gas, Highwoods Properties and The Bromley Companies will also be in the tower. It is part of the $1 billion Midtown Tampa development. St. Pete Clearwater International Airport expanding: St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) is planning to expand a terminal after Pinellas County leaders granted $14.3 million in funding as part of a $110 million project, according to St. Pete Rising. The expansion will allow more gates for current airlines as well as future airlines, more security, and more vendors. (stpeterising.com)
