Rays hosting summer concert series at Tropicana Field: The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting a summer concert series for fans this summer. Jimmy Eat World will play on July 26, Riley Green on August 10, and T-Pain on August 16. There will also be new food additions to Tropicana Field this year including Short Rib Cheesesteak, Korean Corn Dogs at Pig & Potato, Smash Burgers at Central Burger, and Gluten-Free Chicken Tenders and Fries at Modern Bird, Bird & Batter, and Gluten-Free Favorites. Season ticket prices announced for Tampa Bay Sun FC: Season ticket pricing has been announced for the inaugural season of Tampa Bay Sun FC women’s soccer team in Tampa. Oronzo Italian shutters at Midtown Tampa: Fast-casual concept Oronzo Italian from Dan Bavaro has shuttered at Midtown Tampa at 1120 Gramercy Ln D-200. The concept was the brainchild initially of Front Burner Brands and Bavaro Hospitality. A location at New Tampa earlier also failed to succeed. (carloseats.com)
Breeze Airways announces new routes from TPA: Breeze Airways is adding 2 nonstop routes from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Pensacola, Florida and Bangor, Maine. Tickets are now available. Flights to Pensacola start at $49 for one-way tickets. One-way tickets to Bangor start at $99. “We’re thrilled to announce two more routes to our expanding network from Tampa, now at 23 destinations,” said Breeze Airways’ President Tom Doxey. (wfla.com)
Brush fire breaks out at The Mosaic Company in Riverview: Another brush fire has broke out at The Mosaic Company in Riverview for the second day in a row. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said at least two polyethylene pipes are involved. 40 crew members responded to the fire on Monday. Authorities say there is no threat to public safety.
