South Florida Men’s Basketball season ends with loss to VCU: Despite their best efforts, South Florida Men’s Basketball saw their season come to an end on a loss Sunday to VCU 70-65. USF fell to 25-8 for the year. Chris Youngblood led all scorers with 28 points, his 27th game in double digits and his eighth with 20 or more. USF made history under the leadership of Coach Amir Abdur-Rahim and saw their best season in recent history. (gousfbulls.com)
Florida Center for Nursing battling burnout from nurses amid shortage with texting technology: The Florida Center for Nursing has introduced an "Emotional Vaccine Program" aimed at supporting nurses experiencing burnout. The program sends weekly videos to nurses over text with tips to help support their health. Florida is facing a major nursing shortage. The program is open both to current and future nurses in The Sunshine State. (wusf.org)
3 Tampa locations make top places for The 'Gram in Florida: A new report has named multiple Tampa locations on the top Instagrammable location. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay came in at no. 13 with Tampa Riverwalk at no. 15 and The Florida Aquarium at no. 19. Hashtag counts were used to help build the report. (wfla.com)
Sample the City coming to Historic Plant City April 13: Historic Plant City Main Street is hosting its first Sample the City on Saturday, April 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will happen at McCall Park located at 100 N. Collins St. in Plant City. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $75 and includes local restaurant tastings as well as beverage options. (ospreyobserver.com)
St. Petersburg announces $3 million for Rental Utility Relief Program: City of St. Petersburg is spending $3 million to help struggling renters pay their utility bills at part of The Rental Utility Relief Program, according to an announcement from Mayor Ken Welch. The money can used for water bills from the City and Duke Energy. The Renter household must be at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI) and meet other conditions for the aid.
