Bolts defeat Devils 6-3 at home on Saturday night: The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New Jersey Devils 6-3 on Saturday night in Tampa at Amalie Arena. Victor Hedman had an assist to make his 700th career point. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 21 saves during the game. It is the 7th straight home win for the Bolts. Next the Bolts will meet the New York Rangers on Feb. 7. (nhl.com)
Tampa Bay Brewers Alliance appoints Executive Director: The Tampa Bay Brewers Alliance, a regional advocate for the Tampa Bay beer community, has announced the appointment of Sean Nordquist as its new Executive Director. Nordquist has a long history as a craft beer advocate and organizer across the state. He was previously the Executive Director of the Florida Brewers Guild. Publix opens Wesley Chapel location at Innovation Springs with bells and whistles: Lakeland-based Publix Super Markets has opened a new location in Wesley Chapel at 32265 Overpass Rd. at Innovation Springs. Wagamama in Water Steet Tampa hosting 1 year anniversary Feb. 22: wagamama, an Asian restaurant concept at Water Street Tampa, is celebrating its one year anniversary on Thursday, Feb. 22. Abortion rights amendment makes Florida State Ballot as Amendment 4: A Sarasota-based organization fighting for abortion rights called Floridians Protecting Freedom says they have received notice from the state that abortion will be on the 2024 Florida ballot. It will be officially known as Amendment 4 on the 2024 General Election ballot, if approved by the State Supreme Court. The group has secured 993,387 verified signatures, which is over 100,000 the requirement, as activists push to reverse laws passed by the Florida legislature. (wusf.org)
