Tampa Bay Bucs eliminated from NFL playoffs in tough loss to Detroit Lions: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated from the NFL playoffs on Sunday after a tough 31-23 loss against the Detroit Lions. Hillsborough Education Foundation offering hundreds of scholarships for seniors: Hundreds of scholarships are available to Hillsborough County high school seniors from the Hillsborough Education Foundation. Applications are being accepted online now through Wednesday, Jan. 31. Scholarships available range from $500 to $40,000. 11th grade students who have enough credits by May 2024 are also encouraged to apply. Criteria to win scholarships include GPAs, field of study, financial need, challenges overcome, school and community service, SAT/ACT scores as well as extracurricular activity participation. Cabot Citrus Farms golf facility in Brooksville planning soft opening this month: Cabot Citrus Farms in Brooksville is a golf course planning a soft opening this month at 17590 Ponce De Leon Blvd. The venue will include an 18-hole putting course, clubhouse, pro shop and 36 cottages for guests to stay on property.
