Hillsborough leaders approve speeding cameras in school zones: Hillsborough County leaders have approved a new ordinance to put speeding cameras in school zones. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) is welcoming the new ordinance and said there is a major problem with drivers speeding in school zones. Cameras will capture drivers plates when they go at least 11 miles over the school zone speed and drivers will then face speeding tickets. Warnings will be given during the first 30 days before enforcement begins. (wtsp.com)
Bucs head to SF Bay Area for Week 11: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heading to the west coast for Week 11 to meet the San Francisco 49ers. The Bucs are fresh off of a win against the Titans and the 49ers stomped the Jaguars last week. Kickoff is at 4:05 p.m. EST on Sunday, Nov. 19, and will be live on Fox Sports. Annual bicycle scavenger hunt and food fundraiser returns this weekend: Cranksgiving, a bicycle scavenger hunt and food drive fundraiser, is celebrating its 12th year this Sunday, Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year will kickoff from Coppertail Brewing in Ybor City. There is no cost to attend, but guests will need to bring money to buy food items along the way for donation. Food will be donated to Metropolitan Ministries for their holiday drive. Cranksgiving has generated more than 17,200 total pounds of food, including 470 turkeys in donations over the years, according to the event organizers. (cltampa.com)
7 Routes return to TPA from Southwest Airlines this winter: 7 nonstop routes are returning to Tampa International Airport (TPA) with Southwest Airlines this winter, giving travelers more options. Most flights are in the Midwest region. Routes returning include Tampa to Salt Lake City, Utah; Detroit, Michigan; Cleveland, Ohio; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Cincinnati, Ohio; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Syracuse, New York. Syracuse is already booking with most routes starting back in January. (wfla.com)
New impressionism exhibit opening at The Dali: The Dali Museum is opening a new exhibit called “Dalí & the Impressionists: Monet, Renoir, Degas & More” on Saturday, Nov. 18 in St. Petersburg. The exhibit will be on display until Apr. 28, 2024 and is organized in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), which houses one of the top collections of French Impressionism in the United States. It is the first time many of these works will be on display in Florida. The Dali Museum is located at 1 Dali Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. (fox13news.com)

Progress Village is asking for an indoor community center, but Hillsborough County leaders say there isn't currently funding in the budget for one. The county is working on a solution. (abcactionnews.com)
Populous has been selected as the architect firm for the new Tampa Bay Rays ballpark after the only other firm withdrew from the process. (tampabay.com)
Florida State Sentor Erin Grall (R-Vero Beach) filed a proposal (SB 464) on Wednesday to eliminate the no-fault system in Florida and the requirement for motorists to carry $10,000 in personal injury protection (PIP). Previous efforts have failed to remove PIP requirements. Florida has the highest car insurance rates in the nation. (wmnf.org)
