Early voting now underway in Tampa Bay: Early voting has started in Tampa Bay. Voting locations depend on what county you are in and some locations have been changed due to damage from Hurricane Helene and Milton. You must vote i in the county where you are registered as an early voter. (wusf.org)
Clearwater Marine Aquarium seeks donations and supplies after damage from storms: Clearwater Marine Aquarium has sustained an estimated $2.5 million in damages from Hurricane Helene and Milton and is asking for donations to help the museum recover. Vela from Cru Cellars shuts down in Tampa after hurricanes: Another restaurant is shutting down in Tampa after the impact of Hurricane Milton. Vela is a recent concept in the Westshore Marina from Cru Cellars. The neighborhood was badly impacted by recent storms. Massive Fall Festival hits Wesley Chapel this weekend: The 20th Anniversary Wesley Chapel Fall Festival & Carnival is coming to town this weekend from Oct. 26-Oct. 27 in Pasco County at Tampa Premium Outlets. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online in advance. Over 10,000 people are expected to attend. (thatssotampa.com)
Apology issued after eviction letters deployed amid hurricane devastation: HarborView Mobile Manor in New Port Richey is apologizing after homeowners allegedly received eviction letters after suffering damage and even mold from Hurricane Milton. The property management company said they “sincerely apologize for this oversight in our process.” The community said they are working with residents on a “case-by-case basis.” (wtsp.com)
