Gasparilla Music Festival this weekend in Tampa: The 2024 Gasparilla Music Festival is happening this weekend from Feb. 16 to Feb. 18 at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park in Tampa at 1001 North Boulevard. There will be also be a Kids Fest on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. that will be free for those ages 12 and under. Famous Beer Can Island near Tampa put up for sale: Tampa’s famed Beer Can Island is now for sale for $14 million, according to a new release from the owners of the island. The island was purchased for only $64,000 in 2017. Hillsborough County has recently attempted to take control of the island which caused controversy with boaters who love hanging out there and partying. ‘Relay For Life’ happening at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on March 2 and 3: The American Cancer Society will host "Relay For Life" this year at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3. The event is an annual fundraiser that also drives awareness to cancer. The event is free to attend and open to the general public from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, with security checks opening at night. Jennifer Lopez performing in Tampa on Aug. 27: Latina superstar Jennifer Lopez (J.Lo) is coming to Tampa on tour for the first time since 2019 at the end of summer 2024 on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at Amalie Arena in Water Street Tampa. The 'This Is Me…Now' Tour will also visit Orlando and Miami this summer. USF Men’s Basketball team enjoying local support this season: USF Men’s Basketball team has enjoyed record attendance with "over 4,000 people" at their last three home games, according to The Oracle. The basketball team is currently ranked first in the American Athletic Conference. The team will face Florida Atlantic University on Sunday, Feb. 18 and tickets are almost sold out.
