Voting rights group are speaking out about the cuts amid what they say is rampant voter suppression in Florida. Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer is concerned about the cuts. Cuban cafe concept expands into Tampa with 15th location in Sunshine State: CAO Bakery & Café, a growing Cuban cafe and bakery chain that want to be the “Latin Starbucks,” is hosting its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony with the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 21 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 7616 W Hillsborough Ave. The Tampa location is part of an ambitious expansion with 15 locations in just five years. Annual Crawfish Festival returns to Riverview April 13: Mark your calendars. The 14th annual Crawfish Festival is returning to Tampa Bay on Saturday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Founders Square Park in Winthrop Town Centre at 11289 Winthrop Main St. in Riverview. St. Pete’s COPA expanding with new cafe: COPA, a cocktail lounge experience, in St. Petersburg's EDGE District is growing its location with a new cafe at 1045 Central Ave., according to a report from St. Pete Rising. COPA offers cuisine from “Latin America and the Caribbean with a tapas style twist.” The cafe will run as part of the original location and should be open sometime in April 2024. (stpeterising.com)
