Tampa man charged with manslaughter DUI after deadly Riverview crash: Police arrested and charged a Tampa man with DUI manslaughter on Saturday after a deadly-vehicle crash killed one person and injured four others. The suspect was driving west on Bloomingdale Avenue when he ran the red light at the intersection with US-301 at around 10:14 p.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol. The victim who died was in a motorcycle. Passengers in the other vehicles involved suffered minor injuries. (wfla.com)
Bolts defeat Ducks 5-1 on Saturday night at Amalie Arena: The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Anaheim Ducks 5-1 on Saturday night. During the game Nikita Kucherov became the 183rd player to reach 800 points. Steven Stamkos scored two points in the game. (nhl.com)
Saigon Night Market’s Lunar New Year celebration coming next weekend to Pinellas Park: The Saigon Night Market is coming next weekend on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21 for Lunar New Year at England Brothers Park located at 5010 81st Ave N at Pinellas Park. TPA 5K on the Runway opening for registration on Monday at midnight: Registration for the TPA 5K on the Runway race at Tampa International Airport opens Monday, Jan. 15, at 12:01 a.m. The race is happening on Saturday, Apr. 6 at Runway 10/28.
