NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship returns to Tampa: The NCAA Division I women's volleyball championship is back at Amalie Arena in Water Street Tampa from today, Dec. 14, through Saturday, Dec. 16. Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Texas and Wisconsin are battling for the championship prize here in the Lightning capital of the U.S.A. Tickets are still available online for those wishing to attend. South St. Petersburg community denounces planned Historic Gas Plant District project: The community in St. Petersburg voiced complaints on Wednesday that plans for the Historic Gas Plant District project does not provide enough affordable housing to make up for decades of being ignored by politicians. Developers plan to include 6,000 affordable housing developments and workforce housing. One community member noted that the affordable housing provides only “about .04% of the value of this deal.” Most of the community voiced opposition to the development. (wtsp.com)

Tucker Carlson operating streaming subscription service out of Tampa: Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has launched a streaming video subscription service from Tampa. Carlson was fired from Fox News network earlier this year over a text message. Carlson is partnering with Neil Patel and Justin Wells and announced the news on "The Megyn Kelly Show."
