South Florida wins eleventh straight basketball game, sets new home attendance record: USF Men's Basketball won its 11th straight game on Sunday when the team beat Florida Atlantic 90-86. The audience of 10,659 attendees set a new record for South Florida home attendance. South Florida is seeking its first NCAA Tournament bid since 2011-12. Spring Hill Publix issues recall for select ground meat sold: Publix has issued a voluntary recall for some ground meat products sold at its Lakewood Plaza location at 4365 Commercial Way in Spring Hill. Ground meat sold on or after Feb. 14 is not impacted by the recall. Customers are encouraged to throw out meat impacted or take the meat to the store for a full refund. Dueling piano event coming to downtown Tampa this spring: Keys in the Park is a new dueling piano event coming to downtown Tampa on March 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lykes Gaslight Park. The park is located at 242 E Madison St. The battle will happen once a quarter and is meant to help activate the area with the arts. (thatssotampa.com)
Rays Fan Fest draws big crowd in St. Pete: Over 15,000 people attended the free Rays Fan Fest this past weekend at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The family-friendly event had players and staff engaging with both kids and adults.
