Ciro’s Speakeasy in South Tampa closes down: Ciro’s Speakeasy and Supper Club in South Tampa has permanently closed, according to an announcement posted by the bar and restaurant social media. The business is blaming structural problems in their building. The bar first opened in 2009 at the height of the Great Recession. (carloseats.com)
Amalie Arena unveils new food and gear for Lightning playoff season: Amalie Arena has unveiled new menu items and merchandise for Tampa Bay Lightning fans to enjoy during the playoffs. One new option is a barbeque hot dog. The store to grab playoff gear is open from noon to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. (wfla.com)
Florida Man arrested for allegedly pointing lasers at planes at TPA: Police have arrested a man for allegedly pointing a laser at planes arriving at Tampa International Airport (TPA), according to a news release. The suspect is charged with one count of misuse of a laser lighting device, which is a third-degree felony. The FBI partnered with Tampa Police to find the suspect. (wtsp.com)
Sugar Wing hosting grand opening celebration this weekend in Pinellas County: Sugar Wing is opening its first location in Tampa Bay on Friday, April 26 in Seminole at 7724 113th St. From 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28, guests can choose a selection of entrees with a side of Sugar Wing’s signature dip-em fries and a drink for only $5.
