Elderly man fell off float during Gasparilla 2024 parade in Tampa: The 2024 Gasparilla Parade of Pirates in Tampa was stalled on Saturday when a 78-year-old fell off a float during the parade on Bayshore Boulevard and South Boulevard. The man is now reportedly in stable condition. (wfla.com)

St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport plans major investment: St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is planning a $110 million terminal expansion to help with TSA checkpoints and build a new level for passenger boarding, according to St. Pete Rising. The expansion could help draw in more food vendors to the growing airport. The project is expected to be completed by 2027. (stpeterising.com)

The focus of this year's summit is on Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence). Thousands are expected to attend the event and there are 150 sponsors for the summit. Miller picks up four Republican endorsements for Hillsborough District 6 seat: Republican Christine Miller has picked up a number of endorsements for Hillsborough County District 6 from a number of fellow Republicans, according to Florida Politics. Reps. Lawrence McClure, Rep. Traci Koster, Rep. Karen Gonzalez Pittman and Rep. Daniel Alvarez have all thrown their support to Miller. Miller is currently the President and CEO of the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce. The current seat is held by Democrat Pat Kemp who is term-limited.
