Tampa residents can now order local produce to their door: Meacham Urban Farm is now offering delivery with a service called Growing Rootz. Customers can order organic fruits, veggies, and items straight to their door in the Tampa area. The website with products available is updated every Friday and orders must be placed by 4 p.m. the following Tuesday for Friday deliveries. (cltampa.com, thatssotampa.com)
New clothing store concept rents clothes to Tampa residents: A new concept created by Danielle Ferrari in Tampa called Valhalla Resale is renting clothes to residents. Membership costs $49 a month to rent three items, which can then swapped for other items and kept as long as the membership is paid. Watch movies waterfront this winter in Clearwater: Coachman Park is offering waterfront "Scenes on the Green" starting tonight with popular film favorites. The first screening is tonight at 8 p.m. with Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). Catch The Polar Express (2004) on Dec. 15 and The Little Mermaid (2023) on Jan. 26. Two convicted felons arrested by police after traffic stop in Tampa: An investigation is underway after police arrested two convicted felons on Wednesday. The suspects were allegedly found with drugs and guns in their possession during a traffic stop in violation of parole, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO). Police said they received a tip about one suspect violating parole. Both suspects are facing multiple felony charges. (patch.com)
“Snow Days” returns Saturday to Florida Aquarium: The Florida Aquarium’s annual “Snow Days” holiday celebration kicks off Saturday, Nov. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Guests to the aquarium can enjoy snow-packed activities and a "Sno Fly Zone" with a snowball toss and snowball slingshot. There will also be a snow maze and dancing on the rooftop. The event runs this weekend and every weekend in December with a full week of snow from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31. The Florida Aquarium is located at 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602.
