Catch classic holiday movies at Tampa Theatre this winter: Historic Tampa Theatre in downtown Tampa is hosting its Holiday Classics Movie Series starting today, Nov. 26, through Jan. 7, 2024. Guests can enjoy a number of Christmas movies as the season gets underway. The fun starts today with Miracle on 34th Street (1947) at 3 p.m. There will be a few sing-along showings, including White Christmas (1924) on Dec. 24 and Frozen (2013) on Jan. 7. Tampa Bay Bucs face Colts today: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are facing the Indianapolis Colts today in Week 12 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. EST. on CBS and Paramount+. Hillsborough Circuit Judge Jacobs facing discipline: Controversy is swirling around Hillsborough Circuit Judge Nancy Jacobs, who famously beat Judge Jared Smith in a bitter election fight that included personal attacks. Legal races usually are not partisan. Smith is best known for blocking an abortion over a low GPA score, making national headlines. Meanwhile, Jacobs is facing discipline from The Judicial Qualifications Commission for past statements and endorsements. In addition, Jacobs claims to have recently been hacked on Facebook, leading to a joke posted to her private social media account about Islam. Taste at The Straz tickets go on sale Dec. 6: Taste at The Straz, one of Tampa's best food festivals, is returning on Apr. 27, 2024. Guests can enjoy delicious food from local restaurants, craft beer, wine, and more on the Tampa Riverwalk and inside the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. USBG Tampa Bay chapter celebrates Repeal Day Dec. 3: The United States Bartenders Guild Tampa Bay chapter is celebrating Repeal Day on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Barterhouse in Ybor City from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. located at 1811 North 15th St. Repeal Day celebrates the repeal of Prohibition on alcohol in United States which happened on Dec. 5, 1933 after a bitter national fight leading to the 21st amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Tickets to the festivities start at $20 for non-members and are $10 for active members. There will be live music, expertly crafted cocktails, and more, all organized by Tampa’s local bartenders.
