Water Street Tampa’s Season Spectacular kicks off this evening: The family-friendly free event will bring a holiday-themed silent disco, hot chocolate bars, seasonal cocktails and bites, photos with Santa, and more to Tampa’s upcoming downtown district. Festivities run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the the Children’s Dream Fund. Ride share options and public transit, such as TECO Line Street Car, are recommended due to large crowds expected. (thatssotampa.com, waterstreettampa.com)
Ybor shooting suspect arrested: Police have arrested a 14-year-old teenage suspect officials said was involved in the Ybor City shooting on Halloween weekend. Tampa Police said the suspect was in Palm Beach. Police thanked community tips sent into authorities for helping them in their investigation. (wusf.org)
Shower your canine friend with gifts from this Tampa holiday market: The 2nd Annual Howliday Market is coming to Midtown Tampa on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The market is organized by The Dog Moms of Tampa Bay and will feature over 100 vendors specializing in dogs including dog apparel, food accessories, photo and more. Not too late to join Miles for Moffitt run: Miles for Moffitt is Saturday, Nov. 18 and kicks off at Amalie Arena's Ford Thunder Alley in downtown Tampa starting at 7 a.m. Those who haven't signed up can sign up at the run on Saturday morning. Online registration for the run starts at $55 for adults and $40 for kids. The event has previously raised millions of dollars for cancer research. Over 7,500 people joined Miles for Moffitt in 2022. Busy Thanksgiving travel coming to TPA: Tampa International Airport (TPA) is preparing for its busiest Thanksgiving ever as the holiday season get underway. Nearly 80,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport from Nov. 16 to Nov. 26. Travelers are being urged by the airport to book parking in advance online. (patch.com)
