Ybor Knights of Sant’Yago Parade is tonight: The annual llluminated Knight Parade by The Knights of Sant'Yago on 7th Avenue in Ybor City is tonight. The parade will kick-off at 7 p.m. Parties are expected around Ybor City in celebration. Tampa Police will be on-site looking for underage drinking and drivers under the influence, so plan accordingly. (wfla.com)
Foodie Labs celebrates grand opening in St. Petersburg: Foodie Labs in St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District celebrated its opening on Thursday. The new business is located at 515 22nd St. S. The opening was attended by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch. The space is available for events and hosts a number of ghost kitchens and incubators. King State files Chapter 11 bankruptcy after outcry about city construction: King State in Tampa Heights has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, according to multiple media reports. King State recently made headlines when the local business decried constant construction from City of Tampa that owners say is harming their business. Both the Tampa and St. Pete locations will stay open during reorganization. (cltampa.com)

Friends of Tampa man speak out after no charges filed in shooting incident at dog park: Friends of a Tampa man fatally shot last week in a dog park are concerned that no charges have been issued by authorities in the incident. The victim was complaining to friends for months about alleged threats being made from another dog owner for months. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said there is “no danger to the public.” No charges have been filed and the case is being turned over to the State Attorney’s office for final review.
