“Taste” Festival returns to downtown Tampa on April 27: The "Taste" 2024 Festival is coming to the Straz Center in downtown Tampa at 1010 N Macinnes Pl on Saturday, April 27 at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $95. There will be over 40 Tampa Bay restaurants participating in the festival including The Dan, Sally O'Neal's Pizza, and Babushka's. (clampa.com)
TPD announces partnership with Crisis Center of Tampa Bay: Tampa Police Department (TPD) and the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay have announced a new partnership between the two organizations. The program aims to have less officer-involved interactions for mental health phone calls to 911. Local restaurant celebrating 61 years of operation in Tampa: Wright's Gourmet House is celebrating 61 years in Tampa at 1200 S Dale Mabry Hwy this Saturday, April 20. Daiquiri Deck opening at Tropicana Field for thirsty baseball fans to enjoy: The Daiquiri Deck is opening soon at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. Guests can enjoy different frozen daiquiri flavors as well as a non-alcoholic frozen option. Tampa Bay Rays fans will have the option available as baseball season continues. Former Florida Gov. and U.S. Senator Bob Graham dead at 87 years old: Former Florida Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Graham has died at age 87, according to an announcement from the Graham family on social media. He was popular in political circles and with Floridians and spent decades working in Tallahassee and Washington. Graham’s daughter unsuccessfully ran for Governor of Florida in 2018. (fox13news.com)
