Popular Korean Fried Chicken concept Bonchon coming to Tampa: Korea-based Bonchon Chicken is finally coming to the University area at 2308 E Fletcher Ave. The Korean Fried Chicken concept has operated for years in the Orlando area and around Florida, but has taken quite some time to enter the area. Tampa already has a few spots for KFC including bbq Chicken, K-Chicken, and Gangchu Chicken. (thatssotampa.com)
Pasco County working closer with influencers for travel: Pasco County is partnering with influencers to help bring travelers to the area, according to a WFTS. Their tourism department is called Florida’s Sports Coast and is working to help travelers learn the area, a testament to the growth in transition as visitors look beyond Hillsborough and Pinellas County. Tropical disturbances could increase soon: Tropical activity could increase in the coming weeks after a fairly quiet summer. A storm could develop in the Lesser Antilles next week. There is a 30 percent chance of development as of Saturday afternoon. (wfla.com)
New Asian concept soft opens in Ybor City: There is a new Asian coffee shop and restaurant concept called Retro House now in soft opening in Ybor City near Salem's, according to Creative Loafing. It is a joint project between the owners of Heritage Dim Sum and Felicitous Coffee. (cltampa.com)\
The Little Mermaid Jr. show at The Mahaffey ends today: The Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts, which benefits The Mahaffey Theater, is hosting performance of The Little Mermaid Jr., produced and performed by the talented students of the 2nd Annual Summer Camp through the Mahaffey Class Acts Program this weekend. The young performers will show their talent after three weeks of preparation. (patch.com)
